Tiffany Baring-Gould

It's not often that crew get nominated for this title, but as Tiffany Baring-Gould was placed second in the recent Hobie Tiger worlds, she takes the title this month.
Sailing with Mitch Booth, an Australian now sailing for the Netherlands, they won the silver medal, just a few points behind the winner, Mark Laruffa and Daniel Sims. Despite having no previous experience on catamarans Tiffany listened to advice, took on the challenge and succeeded. Mitch Booth complemented her on crewing ability and was astounded that she had not sailed cats before.
Tiffany started sailing relatively late in life compared to other yachties, but her eagerness to learn and to do it right has put her ahead of the pack. She teamed up with Dale Hudson on a 470 and together they sailed the circuit overseas. Last September she teamed up with Graeme Willcox for the 505 Nationals which they won. Tiffany is regularly seen sailing keel boats at Royal Cape Yacht Club, and was aboard the Melges 24, Harken when they won the Ultra Class at the Round the Island Race in February.
Sailing has become her passion and with this enthusiasm Tiffany will most certainly go far.
